As you can see from the photographs shown above, Virginia Salemme created a visually striking abstraction comprised of wide undulating lines rendered in dark blue, green, red, white, black, and grey enameling! At the proper angle, the central dark blue enameled shape looks figurative, somewhat like a man with a wide stance and his arms raised upward. The congruent wide undulating lines are the existential reverberations of the man's soul.

Signed V Salemme in post-firing gold in the bottom right corner and there is an original paper label on the backside that reads Virginia Salemme Enamels Schenectady, N. The enamel-on-copper plaque / painting itself measures approximately ten inches (10) in height by eight inches (8) in width. The overall dimensions of the original wooden frame are approximately fourteen inches (14") in height by twelve inches (12") in width. Condition: The enamel-on-copper plaque / painting itself is in excellent and clean condition -- essentially flawless!

The original wooden frame has a few small scuffs and markings but is generally in very good and clean condition!
