Vintage Art Deco F. A. HERMANN Guilloche Enamel Sterling Silver Necklace

If you are a lover of Art Deco guilloche enamel jewelry, you will love this exceptional piece! This rare and original Art Deco necklace is by F. Hermann, who began in 1908 in Massachusetts, is highly sought-after for his finely crafted and artfully designed enamel sterling jewelry from the early 20th century.

He is mostly associated with small guilloche lingerie and bar pins. When found, they usually show pretty, hand-painted flowers. It is rare to find his necklaces and bracelets, especially in his geometric designs.

Hermann necklace shows off the best of both worlds--floral and geometric. It shows enamel colors in green, black, and white.

The guilloche pattern is underneath the green and white colors. A hand-painted pink rose with green leaves is shown in the center white section. The two links on each side of the center piece are a variation I have never seen before. Stamped on the back of the pendant is Hermann's "H" in a triangle and "STERLING, " although the triangle and "STERLING" stamps are incomplete. It has its original chain and old thumb ring clasp.
