Dane Burr titled this painting / plaque Jester and based on its style and its original framing, it looks to be one of Burrs early works from the 1950s or 1960s at the latest. Again, this vintage midcentury enamel-on-copper painting still retains all of its original framing and backing. The painting / plaque itself measures approximately two and three quarter inches (2 ¾) in height by three and three quarter inches (3 ¾) in width. The overall dimensions with the wooden frame are approximately six and one half inches (6 ½) in height by seven and one half inches (7 ½) in width. Signed Dane in the bottom right corner of the painting and there is an original artists paper label on the backside that reads: 3381-2 Dane Burr Jester (there is also an original price but it no longer legible).
Condition: The painting / plaque itself is in excellent and clean condition. The wooden frame has some small markings, minor scuffs, and theres a small piece of fill missing from the bottom right corner.BUT AND PLEASE READ The painting / plaque is loose in its original mounting materials and slides up and down within the frame. It needs to be remounted. But again, there is no damage to enameling painting itself.
