Hand Painted & Enamelled Details. The daisy flower handle is painted in soft green with yellow stem. The pattern is definitely Art Deco inspired with abstract green and yellow flowers and leaves with black details which have been hand painted over transfer. The exterior surfaces are soft pink.
Likely dates from the 1930-40s. Both cup and saucer "ping" but there is noticeable wear to the gold on the rims clearly visible in the photo, as well as a darkened brush stroke smudge of black on saucer surface and a few scuffs to cup exterior; cup also has two miniscule rough areas on rim which can be felt with fingertips but are not visible. Cup measures 2" tall and 4 5/8" across including handle; saucer is 5 1/2 across.
Marked with older Aynsley England crown mark in dark green with pattern number B3134 handpainted in dark ochre on saucer and 2085 on cup. Please ignore all white spots on photos caused by camera flash. This set would make a wonderful addition to your collection, even with its flaws.
