Raphael Esterida Hand Painted Enameled Copper Plate/Tile signed

Extremely beautiful and masterfully executed enamel on copper painting, signed Raphael Esterida. (At first I thought these pieces of art were actually ceramic tile, but they are hand painted enamel over copper). Original vintage "one of a kind" piece of framed art. Raphael was an Italian painter who refined this enamel art process.

He worked with his daughter on some of these paintings, forming layers and layers of enamel fused with varied heat levels, onto a copper plate. A painstaking and touchy technique but yielding a beautiful result! His daughter, Esterida, followed in his footsteps so it is thought by some that the paintings with both names meant they both worked on the art. Some, just signed Esterida, were thought to be his daughter's work.

This piece has a full signature. These unique pieces have intrigued art collectors for decades! Enameled Copper Tile is 17" x 6.75". In frame, 22" x 12". Wonderful colors, beautiful one of a kind signed art, ready to hang!
