An Antique and exquisitely painted miniature on vellum after a painting by David Teniers the younger ; " Jour de kermesse" in a custom Austro Hungarian silver and enamel easel back frame. The miniature is under glass and in mint original condition. The custom easel back frame has Austro Hungarian hallmarks and is 800 silver. It is beautifully executed with applied decoration enhanced with enamel, as well as fine engraved friezes aling the edges. On the back, an inscription reads: D. Teniers le jeune, Jour de kermesse. We were not able to identify a maker for this beautiful frame but the quality of the whole " package" indicates it came from a prominent silversmith, and belongs to the " Objet de Vertu" category.
