Superb French enamel plaque, painted in white enamel over a deep blue ground with a Renaissance style Madonna & Child, each outlined in halos of gold, the background wooded landscape with gilt clouds above, set in a carved giltwood frame with velvet slip. Trade label behind the integral stand at back for G. Venot fils, 61 Rue Denis Papin, Blois. In the 16th century style, Limoges, 19th century.
