Fine & Large Antique GERMAN Enamel on Porcelain Portrait Painting c. German Enamel on Porcelain Portrait Painting of Woman with Hat and Pendant, circa 1880s. FREE PICK-UP IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. Up for your consideration is an oval-shaped German enamel on porcelain plaque painting, circa 1870s - 1890s. The plaque is decorated with a Slavic girl in period dress and hat. It is set in a gilt scrolling and Fleur-de-Lis wood frame. The back of the porcelain is marked with an incised K2.
The frame measures 13.8" tall, 10.25" wide, and 1 deep. The plaque measures 5.75" tall and 4" wide. Overall, the piece is in excellent condition. There is one crack in the frame, in the left center top, pictured in last photo.
