Large Abstract Glossy Enamel Black & Gold Drip Painting Triptych signed

This is a larger, original triptych comprised of three enamel paintings on 100% rag deckle-edged paper by American artist Jerry De La Cruz (b 1948, Denver, CO). Each of the three pieces is 23" high by 16" wide (self-framed images) and 30" high by 22" wide (paper) for a total work size of 30" high by 66" wide. The subject is a referential abstraction of the movement of atoms. Across the three parts, a black and gold thick scribbly line crosses.

Additional atomic movements are seen in each part as well. The work uses a white background with black and gold enamel drips over some gray shadowing following the movements. It is a stunning work with both the black and gold enamel paints glistening and changing as the viewer moves. It is monochromatic in black and white with gold highlights. The work is aptly titled "Atom Tracks" Triptych.

It is in pristine condition and signed front lower left on each of the three pieces by the artist. The images of work framed are for sizing perspective only. De La Cruz has been a full-time professional fine artist since 1975. Years later, he was the only artist considered when that same museum wanted to commission a major, contemporary digital work commemorating the opening of its new Libeskind Building. De La Cruz was the recipient of back-to-back artist-in-residency grants from Colorado in his early career and received as well their very last painting fellowship. Other honors include award of Best Art Event of the Year by Westword Magazine and appointment to Denver's Commission on Arts and Culture.
