Numerous important sitters included members of the imperial family. Bodemer also made enamel copies of old master paintings, such as Leonardo's La Belle Ferronniere. The only pastel associated with him is apparently unsigned, and the attribution is based on a label from an old exhibition. It is plausible that Bodemer should have executed pastels at the start of his career under the guidance of his Fuger or Lampi; these are unlikely to be before 1800. As told by Glen, now 73 years, the enamel was handed down from his grandmother Minnie Blumka, to daughter Lori' Blumka (Glen's mother).
Lori Blumka married William Revere of Cleveland; they had a son, Glen. The enamel came to Glen from his parents Mr.Glen's maternal grandfather was Hugo Blumka d.
