A delightful Georgian watercolour miniature of child with dove, in what might be the original enamel on copper frame- I acquired the miniature in this frame. The finely rendered portrait (Out of frame) is 8cm by 6.5 cm. It has a what looks like a gold margin painted around the portrait which has been cut into to fit a frame.

There is some yellowing and marking to the watercolour. The frame is 11cm by about 7.7 cm and has a deal of loss of the floral enamel decoration. It also lacks the back and glaze. At the moment to painting is held in place by card. The painting is probably by an English artist, early to mid 1800's I would think and not signed.
