Louis Cardin is a French Impressionist painter who studied under the tutelage of the famous Parisian artist, Andre. Cardin was born in 1931.
His method of painting is with enamels on copper with a process that creates color accents said to be'jewel like'. As each painting is individually created, no two are ever exactly alike. This picture up for sale is approximately 15-3/4" wide x 13-3/4" high including the frame. It is signed but I believe the date might be under the framework itself.
The picture depicts two young girls. One is pulling a wagon with the other child taking the ride in the wagon.Cardin's mid-century vintage creations often tell the story of young playful children which offers a joyful atmosphere. This piece has been professionally framed of wood brushed with gold and rather ornate... The painting is in excellent condition. I should have dusted the frame (sorry) but it will arrive at your home nicely polished. It has been residing in a non-smoking environment.
