This is a wonderful and curious Antique Mid Century Modern Abstract Surrealist Horse Mosaic Painting, enamel on ceramic tile, depicting three abstracted and colorfully ornamented cubistic horses. This work depicts these fascinating horses with vibrant raised embellishments, with a central larger horse flanked by two smaller ones to each of his sides. Approximately 21 1/4 x 27 3/8 inches including frame. Actual artwork is approximately 15 5/8 x 21 1/2 inches. This work is signed in the lower right, but it is illegible to me. Perhaps you recognize the artist or their work? Good condition for age, with some areas of dirty ness, and spots of mineral oxidation or corrosion on some of the tiles. This may be cleaned up with a strong tile cleaner.

Original period frame has moderate scuffing, edge wear and paint loss from age and storage. Acquired from a small garage sale in Los Angeles, California.
