Antique Argent Dore Sterling Silver Pale Blue Guilloche Enamel Pocket Watch Case Locket Necklace with Hand Painted Dove A gorgeous 935 Sterling Silver Pendant featuring an antique guilloche enamel Argent Dore pocket watch case in the loveliest shade of soft, pale blue, with gold foil detailing. The case is surrounded with beautiful silver scroll work.

I began to imagined how I could breathe new life into It. I cut a round "canvas" of genuine Pua Shell and hand painted a scene of a white dove over water with a gold ribbon looped and held in its beak The shell has the most beautiful natural luster in iridescent shades of pinks and blues. The painting is done in gouache, an ancient medium use to paint miniatures for hundreds of years.

It's highlighted with fine, iridescent mica powders. The painted shell disc has been affixed to the watch case and an the antique watch crystal protects the painting. The miniature painting measures a mere 3/4 of an inch in diameter and the watch case measures 1 inch in diameter. The inside of the watch is finished in a gold wash over sterling and is marked 935 Argent Dore (See photos). The pocket watch case can be opened in the back to insert a keepsake or photo.

It is however, difficult to open, as in all pocket watches, as they are designed to be airtight to protect the movement. Once you fill it you can easily snap it closed. This gorgeous pendant is suspended 17 inch two tone bar & link watch chain & swivel hook, that's marked 1/10, 14K gold filled on the jump ring and swivel hook. The chain is finished in white and yellow gold.

We added a sterling silver cable chain to the back section. The chain closes with a sterling spring clasp marked 925. The overall condition on this beautiful piece is excellent, with no cracks or wear to the enamel.

This is a very unusual watch case, I have never seen another like it with the silver scroll work. A fabulous piece of One of a Kind (OOAK) piece of fine jewelry.
