A framed UNIQUE French Enamel Porcelain Painting with a portrait of the Jesus Christ made in 1940's by famous French artist André Bureau from Limoges. This stunning enamel was done by André Bureau himself, not simply produced in his atelier! Signature of the artist at the bottom left of the enamel and magazin label "Lanoe-Soubirou (Lourdes)" on the back. This is a beautiful example of the quality of enamel porcelain paintings produced in the early part of the 20th century by the master enamellers of Limoges.

It has been extraordinarily difficult to made those paintings - each colour in these Limoges enamels has to be applied separately then fired then on to the next colour. The beauty of these enamels is that they never age, never fade and are really difficult to damage so they remain perfect throughout the ages.
