A famous painting "Girl with a Cat" (1745). This is a beautiful example of the quality of enamel porcelain paintings produced in the early part of the 20th century by the master enamellers of Limoges.
It has been extraordinarily difficult to made those paintings - each colour in these Limoges enamels has to be applied separately then fired then on to the next colour. The beauty of these enamels is that they never age, never fade and are really difficult to damage so they remain perfect throughout the ages.
Enamels can take between 16 and 22 firings, a long and laborious process that has to be right first time each time. No wonder they are so sought after! 20,2 x 15,5 x 2,6 cm (7.95" x 6.1" x 1.02'').Size of the enamel porcelain painting. 13,8 x 9,2 cm (5.45" x 3.62").
Enamel porcelain painting is untact and in immaculate condition. Wooden frame with minimal signs of wear, a few negligible surface scuffings mostly to the extremities. I do not mark merchandise values?? below value or mark items as "gifts" - U.
