Vintage Signed Kauffman Modern Enamel Copper Art Plate Midcentury Painting 8 3/4

HERES AN OUTSTANDING 8 ¾ SIGNED ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1940S OR 1950S MODERN MIDCENTURY ENAMEL-ON-COPPER PLATE CREATED BY AN AMERICAN ARTIST WITH THE LAST NAME KAUFFMAN THAT DISPLAYS A SOPHISTICATED DESIGN OF FOUR FISH JUMPING OUT OF THE WATER SURROUNDED BY SCROLLING WAVES! Measuring approximately eight and three quarters inches (8 3/4) in diameter by one and one eighth inches (1 1/8) in height, the American artist named Kauffman who created this enamel-on-copper plate layered blue enameling on top of green enameling and then used a sgraffito technique to the design. To this end, the four jumping fish are rendered in an arched position and are leaning to the right toward a scrolling wave, giving the overall scene a sense of motion. It is beautifully done and with an advanced knowledge of the enamel arts! The plates underside is counter enameled in variegated fleshy-orange and blue enameling filled with fissure lines again, beautifully done and with an advanced knowledge of the enamel arts!

Signed on the underside bottom within the enameling itself Kauffman. Please Note: Unfortunately, no information can be located about the enamelist Kauffman at the time of this writing. Condition: Excellent and clean condition absolutely beautiful! LASTLY, SHOULD THE WORD "EAMES" BE USED IN THE SEARCH TITLE, IT IS THERE FOR THE PURPOSE OF REFERENCING THE MID-CENTURY TIME PERIOD OF THE 1940S THROUGH THE 1970S.
