Merrill includes photo shown below of a piece of Arthur Espinet Carpenter furniture with large inset enamel on copper panels by Ree Mantz! A "Ree Mantz" wrote a book in 1966 titled Gallery Vs. Unknown binding, not currently available on Amazon, etc. Our Heritage of Coastal Magic: Ree Mantz Enamel Panels Interpretive of Sea & Shore. Studio and Artist Ree Mantz appears in the 1964 San Francisco Directory, web page online search Google. "Robert Tore Ree Mantz" also appears in "The Times from San Mateo California" on page 69, July 14th, 1973 in reference to an Art Show with Photographers and Mixed Media including enamel art. "As Found", "As Is" condition, guessing vintage 1960's, possibly 1970's. Dust and dirt commensurate with age. Stains canvas cloth frame surround could use cleaning or enjoy vintage patina as is. Appears to be a stable, old curved almost circular crack in glass enamel upper center left that may have happened in the making, a firing crack? Also bump on surface of enamel center top at frame edge. Artwork not removed from frame and examined out of frame. Hear some small loose piece floating around inside frame when shaken.
