Dan Hitchcock Oregon Vintage Abstract Expressionist Andy Warhol Portrait Enamel

This listing is for the original painting that you see in the photos. The people that I acquired the painting from did not tell me its history. There is some smaller writing along the bottom of the paper that is difficult to read. I was also told that he was just having fun when he painted it and that it was painted as a spoof and that his work is generally more realistic. According to their website, Dan and Mae Hitchcock live in Corvallis, Or and have been painting murals together in Oregon since 1982. I do not know when this painting was made. Because of the relatively low price and its general condition, I think that might have been painted in the 1980's or 1970's. I make no guarantees about it being delivered safely because of that but I think that it will probably be safe enough. I will use a custom made double wall box. No matter where you are, the cost will likely be more than 3 1/2 times more for the larger box. It is painted on some kind of relatively thick paper board or particle board that measures close to 37 ¾ by 37 ¾ inches and is a little less than 1/2 inches thick. It weighs close to 21 pounds 12 ounces. The paint looks relatively hard and shiny like some kind oil based enamel. The condition is much like you see it in the 20 photos after the general description. There is a little damage of the bottom right hand corner and the back of the top left hand corner that you can see in the photos.

The board is warped some so it will not lay flat. You should be able to see what I mean in the photos. It might benefit from a cleaning. Otherwise, the painting is generally fine and as shown.

My photos should give you a good idea of it general condition. I guarantee this painting and frame to be as described and represented by the photos. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them.
